The Blake/e/e/e show was a hurried but worthwhile event. I think that the Experimental-Gospel-Dub label that they have listed themselves under on MySpace was just a testement to the fact that they are an unclassifiable band. Some songs come off as indie pop, some as darker Eastern Block gothic, others as ambient..

The one thing that was obvious was that these guys are serious as scientists about the entire "experiment". At the beginning of the set, Paolo, the lead singer, cut the first song off after a measure because the keyboard wasn't at perfect volume. And this is working with the Comet equipment...

It was a great set, I think people were a bit overwhelmed with the sincerity of it all, but impressed. And the first act, Shenandoah Davis, is worth checking out as well.
