The last remaining pawn shop on Seattle’s first avenue is going out of business today after 30+ years. This gun-infested relic is notable because it is awfully near-but-not-dear to the Green Couch Conspiracy’s secret headquarters.
Will it be missed? The ones among us who might have ventured in there looking for cool old guitars and other flotsam only to find endless racks and varieties of people killing machines are certainly not shedding any tears. I guess we must in some way represent the emerging attitudes of the “boutique street.”
